Homemade Limeade

Hot and sweaty after a run the other day, Matt and I decided to use our lime surplus to make a batch of limeade. Or more specifically, a big batch of limeade concentrate that we can now utilize in making not only limeade, but ginger beer, margaritas, mojitos, and anything else
calling for sweet limey goodness.

Not kidding about the hot and sweaty part

Juicing the limes

Making simple syrup by heating equal parts sugar and water

Adding the lime juice to the simple syrup

Add the appropriate ratio of water and enjoy!

We found that the ratios in the recipe made for a slightly sweet, syrupy limeade for our tastes. I would increase the ratio of plain water and according decrease the ratio of simple syrup. Otherwise, though, we give it a thumbs up!
