Today we slept in, ate a late breakfast, then just hung out for a little while before work called and asked if I would come in for a couple of hours. For overtime, yes, I would, and so I did--zipped over and worked from 10:00-12:30 (not bad hours, if I do say so myself). When I got home, Matt had made an AMAZING pot of lentil soup (and yes, he has a backlog of soups to post about; feel free to remind him!) and we made a batch of flatbread with garlic and caraway seeds to go with it. Then, our bodies sluggish with goat meat, we took a long, glorious nap. When we got up, I made a batch of cookies, since it's been awhile, and we cleaned up the kitchen. Matt folded and put away some laundry.
It's been a lovely day.
